Trinity’s Luther Fest 2012 was held on October 21st, and it was very successful.  The attendance was great!  We served a total of 1,230 plates (both in the Community Center Annex and as plates to go).  The individual booths (cake wheel, pies, silent auction, country store, and the children games) all had a lot of participants in their respective activities.  The live auction did very well with $14,660 being raised.  The total profit for this event was $26,343.

Some of the money from this annual fundraiser will be used with matching funds from Thrivent to provide assistance to the following agencies:  Christ’s Kitchen, Victoria Senior Citizens’ Center, Victoria Campus Ministry, Perpetual Help Home, Victoria Christian Assistance Ministry (VCAM), and Restoration House Ministries.  The remaining money will go to fund specific projects here at Trinity and also be placed into the Current Account for normal church expenses.

The Co-chairpersons of this event would like to thank everyone who helped us – and there were a lot of our members as well as volunteers from Lutherans for Hope and 4H members from Aloe Elementary.   We also appreciate the rest of our congregation as well as others of our community who came out to participate in Trinity’s 28th Luther Fest.
